הצבעה זו הציעה לבטל את המס כי בעלי הבתים משלמים על הערך המשוער של החיים בביתם. התומכים טענו כי אנשים לא צריכים להיות מס רק בשביל לחיות בבית הם הבעלים, וכי המס מרתיע בעלות ביתית. המתנגדים טענו כי הסרת המס ייהנו בעיקר מבעלי בתים עשירים יותר, להפחית את ההכנסות הממשלתיות וליצור הבדלים לא הוגנים בין בעלי הבתים לבין שוכרים.

ההצעה נדחתה על ידי המצביעים השוויצרים.
